I was in chicken mood last Wednesday. So after work I went and get some chicken in the wet market. But still not decided on how to cook it. So after buying the chicken, I was still walking around in the market, still thinking what to cook.

Then I remembered Aling Ansang’s menu a day before. So I went to get the ingredients I need for Chicken Pastel.

What you need:

1 kl. chicken cut in serving pieces
1 can Vienna sausage cut
1 carrot cut in cubes
2 potatoes cut in cubes
4 cloves garlic crushed and chop
2 bell pepper cut in cubes
2 tsp olive oil
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp butter
1 cup milk
a pinch of pepper
2 cup water
salt to taste

How to make it:

Mix chicken, soy sauce, lemon juice and pepper in a bowl. Pour olive oil in hot pan, then saute garlic until brown. Put chicken mixture in pan, cook for 5 minutes until chicken is half cook. Then add water, let it boil before putting the potatoes and carrotssa and simmer for 2 minutes. Then add the Vienna sausage, butter and bell pepper, cover and let it simmer. Add salt and liquid seasoning to preferred taste and milk, cook until sauce thickens. Serve hot.

Enjoy.
