Last Friday me and my office colleague went out for lunch, for there are no more pack lunch in the pantry. So while going out of the building still uncertain on where to go or what to have. We walked near the Jollibee area in the Fort.

Then Job remember a post from our friend Zee of My Life Joys.com that she had lunch in a place near the area. So we looked for the place. It was hard for it have no sign board installed. If it was not for the signage on their glass wall we have gone to another place.

It was not very convenient when we entered the place. Only a single stand fan was running on the inner part of the place. There was an air-conditioner installed but it was not running for “there are only few customers” was the only response we got from the attendant.

The place is no Five-Star restaurant but the price on their menu will give you second thoughts of leaving. So everything will depend on the taste and how fast they will server it. Because for one thing, the place don’t offer any good ambiance.

Ian and I ordered the Belacan Pork Rice. For me the image in the menu reminds me of a dish I had at Singapore.

Belacan is a stir fried rice in shrimp paste (belacan) serve with pork, fried scrambled egg, mangoes  and slice of cucumber with chili paste.

Belacan Pork Rice = PhP 100

And It was good, the Belacan rice was good, not great but good. I love the pork and the sauce was right.

I did a little digging on what the word ‘Shiok’ means. It is a common word in Malaysia & Singapore. It convey a feeling of pleasure and happiness.

Hainan Chicken = PhP 245

Job had the Hainan Chicken as recommended by Zee in her post.
